A complete mind-body-spirit approach to well-being that guides how to find balance, health and vitality in an ever-changing environment

The science of life

Ayurveda is the ancient system of natural medicine from India that has been practised for over 5000 years for both the prevention and treatment of illness and to enhance wellbeing.

It sits alongside other Vedic sciences including Yoga, Meditation, Tantra (working with our internal energies), Jyotish (astrology) and Vastu (directional influence). This knowledge was passed down as an oral tradition until around 1000 BC when it was inscribed as part of “the Vedas,” an ancient body of texts that are still sacred today.

Ayurveda is often considered to be one of the oldest medical systems, and is certainly the most developed. Made up of the Sanskrit “Ayur,” meaning life, and “Veda,” meaning knowledge, Ayurveda is the science or art of life. And by this, we mean knowing how to tune in to yourself and the ebb and flow of nature both within and around you to find balance and health in an ever-changing environment.

Ayurveda is a complete body-mind-spirit approach to wellbeing. Unlike many modern modalities and health trends, Ayurveda believes that wellbeing looks different for everyone based on their unique nature, mind-body type, lifestyle and life stage.
