Abhyanga is a full body massage using warm herbal oils to nourish and revitalise the body and detoxify the cells. Abhyanga has been used for thousands of years to restore balance and harmony to the body and mind.

Shirodhara & Abhyanga

Shirodhara, or "head flow," involves pouring warm, herbal oil across the forehead. It's a wonderful treatment for dissolving anxiety, stress, sleep disturbances and insomnia. Perfectly combined with an abhyanga massage for optimal relaxation.

Kizhi - Herbal Pouch Massage

Using a herbal pouch, Kizhi is effective for relieving, arthritis, stiff joints and to assist in healing scar tissue post-surgery. (The 90-minute treatment includes a full body massage.)

Kati Vasti

Kati Vasti involves retaining warm Ayurvedic oil over the affected area bordered with a herbal dough paste. This is followed by a gentle massage. It is particularly helpful for lower back pain, tension and swelling.

Shiroabhyanga - Indian Head Massage

Also known as an Indian Head Massage, Shiro abhyanga uses marma point therapy to release tension from the head and neck. It’s used to treat a variety of conditions, such as alopecia (depending on the condition) and hair problems, depression, fatigue, eye strain, insomnia, mood swings, sinusitis, headaches and migraines.

Nasya involves the application of drops of medicinal herbs and oils into the nasal passage. It purifies the head region and is particularly helpful in treating aliments such as: sinus congestion, hay-fever, head aches and migraines, ear, nose and throat irritations.

A safe, supportive massage designed for mothers-to-be after their first trimester, or new mum's postpartum. During the consultation we will discuss your specific needs, and draw on various treatments such as abhyanga massage and/ or kizhi to soothe the nervous system and alleviate tension, heaviness, and swelling.
